This editorial portrait series was commissioned for Monster Children in New York City as part of an exhibition celebrating the city’s creative scene. Monster Children sits at the intersection of skate, surf, art, and youth culture, using publishing and physical exhibitions to spotlight the people shaping modern style from the ground up. For this project, I focused on two archetypes that define New York: a well-known skater with true underdog energy, and a model who embodies the East Village’s lived-in, effortless edge. Shot with a candid, character-forward approach, the images aim to feel like real New York: unpolished, present-tense, and culturally specific, built for exhibition walls and editorial context.
